STELLA HEATH SEXTET

Band Leader and vocalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area Stella Heath leads a band under her own name. With programs such as "Unsung Standards; Lesser Known Gems of the Great American Songbook" "Songs for an elopement" and "From Billie Holiday to Edith Piaf" Heath takes the opportunity to delve deep into her favorite musical styles from Swing Era and Traditional Jazz, to French Jazz Manouche, to Global Tradtional and contemporary songs. Stella is sure to present melodies familiar and unknown to her audiences rooted in the telling the story of each song to the best of her ability. Her band is comprised of some of the Bay Area's finest jazz musicians and improvisers.
